The season for Aurora, also called Northern Lights, starts already in September and lasts until April or May.
In Swedish we call it ‘Norrsken’. The most common color is green but it also appears in purple, pink and white.
We arrange safaris giving a good chance to catch the ‘Norrsken’. The most important thing to be able to see the phenomena is that the sky is clear without layers of clouds.
The second thing is that the sky has to be dark (thats the reason why we don’t have any Aurora during our summer, with the white nights.
You should also give the yourself time to be discovered. For example your eyes need to adapt to dark surroundings, which normally takes at least two hours.
